There is a feeling that only terracotta carries - warm, grounding and deeply familiar. It reminds us of village courtyards, earthen vessels, festive evenings and homes filled with simple comforts.
The Mitti Candle celebrates that feeling.
Handcrafted in Bengaluru, each candle is poured into a hand-thrown terracotta urli using premium soy wax and finished with miniature sculpted pumpkins, maple leaves, cinnamon sticks and star anise. Every piece is individually crafted, making no two candles exactly alike.
Its warm spice fragrance opens with comforting cinnamon and clove, unfolds into nutmeg and gentle spice, and settles into a rich cedarwood base that fills your home with warmth without overpowering the space.
When the candle has completed its journey, the handcrafted terracotta vessel continues to live on - as décor, a planter or a keepsake for your home.
More than a candle, The Mitti Candle is a celebration of Indian craftsmanship, changing seasons and thoughtful gifting.
- Scent: Warm spice - cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and a base of smooth sandalwood
- Vessel: Hand sculpted natural terracotta urli
- Wax: Premium soy wax blend
- Burn time: Approximately 45-50 hours | Wick: Single cotton wick
- Dimensions: ~10 cm diameter × 6 cm height | Weight: ~270g
- ITrim the wick to 6mm before every burn to prevent soot and mushrooming.
- IIAllow the wax to melt to the edges on first use — this prevents tunnelling.
- IIIBurn for no more than 4 hours at a stretch. Let the candle cool fully before relighting.
- IVKeep away from drafts, direct sunlight, and children. Never leave unattended.
- VStop use when 1cm of wax remains. The vessel is yours to keep — rinse with warm water and reuse.
