We started with a
single belief.
That a candle could be more than light. It could be art. It could hold memory. It could be the most beautiful thing in a room.
Wara was born in Bengaluru from that belief — and a stubborn refusal to make anything that didn't earn its place.
The name comes from Sanskrit. Vara — a boon, a blessing. Every piece we make is meant to carry that weight.

Why Soy Wax
We use only 100% pure soy wax. Not paraffin, not a blend — pure soy. It burns cleaner, lasts longer, and releases no toxic chemicals into your home. It costs more to make. We do it anyway.
Why Sculptural
Most candles disappear into the background. Wara candles don't. Each piece is individually sculpted — petals placed by hand, botanicals assembled one leaf at a time. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

We source with intention
Pure soy wax, fragrance oils blended to our specifications, brass dabara vessels from South Indian artisans, terracotta from Bengaluru potters. Nothing generic. Everything traceable.
We sculpt by hand
Each petal, each leaf, each botanical element is individually formed. There is no mould that produces a Wara candle. Every piece exists because someone made it — patiently, precisely, by hand.
We pour in small batches
Wax is poured in small quantities — never at scale. Each batch is checked before it leaves. This isn't a limitation of our size. It's a commitment to quality that large production destroys.
We ship in 24 hours
Every order is packed by hand and dispatched within 24 hours, across India. Because the person who ordered a gift on Thursday shouldn't be explaining to the host why it hasn't arrived.
